Jack Everett Mikulenka

I worked for Jack in 1973-74 at "Papa Jack's" on Wagon Wheel and Nacogdoches. Started out as doorman/bouncer then Asst. Mgr under Danny Robson. Great memories of the live bands like Nitzinger, Too Smooth, Excalibur and more. Especially when The Watermelon Band from the Southside of San Antonio was playing. But I really learned to fight one night on that lighted dance floor when a handful of bikers refused to leave after getting rowdy. My friend Earl and I with the help of a few patrons won...

I started in the insurance business Ness in 1964 with Jack. I was close friends 1964 65 and 66. I left to Germany until 1975. Miss him. Eddie Wells

Of course I am coming late to the event, Jack! My condolences to the family and to all who knew Jack. I worked with him for several years and he was a light in my life. What a generous spirit with such an openness to all that life brought him. He taught me to grab the brass ring when you get the chance, but to let it go if you have to; it's brass. Now if it was gold . . . . But that's another story. Vaya con dios, Jack.
