Not sure what to say?

Dear Jimmy and Girls. It was such a shock to hear of Jack's passing. He was a fine Christian man and all who knew him liked him, I am sure.
God Bless you, the family, at this time of berevement. Howard & Peggy Brown

It is not possible to express what Jack has meant to us. When we say someone is a good person, Jack is the yard stick by which we measure. When we say someone has a good marriage, Jack and Jimmie are the standard we use. All of the positive adjectives we use can't overstate our love for Jack. We consider the many years of knowing him one of the major blessings of life. That blessing will live with us forever.

I'LL NEVER FORGET...I WAS ALL OF 17 AND WHEN I CAME ABOARD THE DASHIELL, JACK TOOK ME UNDER HIS WING. NOW JACK IS WITH HIS GOD AND I KNOW JACK HAS ME...STILL UNDER HIS WING. I LOVED HIM AND WILL MISS HIM SO MUCH. JIMMIE, IF YOU EVER NEED ANYTHING...WE WILL BE THERE.

Another shipmate who has gone to be with the Lord. Condolences and prayers are with the family.

Jimmie and Family. We only knew Jack for about 14 years. The first time we met was in NC at the Dashiell Reunion. We considered both of you our friends. We will miss him greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at the time of sorrow.

Jimmie, Please know that my prayers and thoughts are with you. It was truly a pleasure to get to know you and Jack and Jim always spoke very highly of him.

Love,
Mary Ann Harris

Jimmie,
We attempted to see you last night but the group was just too large. I wanted you to know how much you and Jack have been an inspiration to me. Jack taught me in the Wednesday night services at the Church that there is power in the name of "JESUS"

Remember to hold on to the good days and in the bad days when you miss him hold on to the fact your lose is God's gain. God has a war to fight and he needs some great soldiers just to march not fight.

Love in...

In loving memory of a great Christian and devoted family man, who will be missed by all who knew him. Our love and prayers to all the family.

Jack: You were a great buddy and shipmate - USS Dashiell DD659 (1950-52). You will always be in my memories. Jimmie, we are praying that God will grant you peace.
With all our love, Luke and Frances Gunter
