Carolyn , Jack Jr., and family ; I was so sad to learn of Jack's passing. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. He was a great person to his family, his church, and the community. I enjoyed working for him, and had great respect for him. May God hold you close and comfort your hearts during this painful time.

Carolyn, I was so saddened to read of Jack's passing in the paper today. We had spoken shortly after Mom's passing in January and I know Jack's health had been an issue for some time. We will be out of town all next week so we will be unable to attend the service. Dad plans on attending after arrangements are made. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you now. Carolyn, it was such a shock this morning when I was reading the News Sentinel on the internet and found Jack's name. Mary Jane and I are so sorry. After I read it, memories began to flow, going back to when we met at 4-H Roundup in 1948, coming up to Persia and going to a movie with you and Mary Frances, playing tennis with Jack in phys ed class and he asked if he should ask you out.Telling him yes was some of the wisest advice I ever gave.
