As a piano student at NTSU from 1979-1983, I had the privilege of having Jack Roberts as one of my piano literature teachers. He was always encouraging to me as a young performer, and I have not forgotten his kind and words. He was also a good friend to my dear piano teacher, Mary Nan Mailman, and was a well-respected faculty member. He will be missed!
