I served many years with Jack in Red Cross and He was not just a Leader among Men, but an inspiration for all

To the family and especially Freddie. We loved the whole family as we were close neighbors on Walker dr. Lancaster ohio. Have lost touch over the years as life has taken us all in different directions. Hopefully we can meet up again. We live in Urbana and did not know of their deaths. Please call if you can. Lived four doors away from Jack, and saw the struggle of his latter years, but he walked with dignity and purpose. Our meeting was too short, his passing too soon. Wish I had known him better, a great man.

When I think of Jack I remember great memories of my childhood. Tina was my first friend and I spent many a day with all the Rupp's on Midvale. Butch taught me what a big brother was supposed to be and Marty was another big sister. But Betty and Jack were my second parents. Jack's pipes always smelled so good and I remember one fabulous lunch [a cheeseburger] made by Betty. Unfortunately we moved, not too far, but when you are 8 it might as well have been Siberia!
