Read MoreWe met Jack and Kay back in about 1966 when we were all living in Elgin IL and Jimmy and Mary Kay were just little kids. Just ran across his death notice quite accidentally. We always considered ourselves cousins but never determined the relationship. Our sincere and loving condolances to Jim and MaryKay and their families.

Jack Sampley was a good friend and neighbor, a very kind and genuine person, and I wish I could have known him longer than the 4 years that I did. God rest his soul, and may he find peace at long last. You will be missed, Jack.
