Not sure what to say?

Michele, I can´t believe it´s been 7 years since the passing of your beloved father. My prayers continue for you and yours. Feel free to contact me if you wish, everything is the same except Ken and I getting older. As always, love, hugs and prayers to all.

Dear Bernice and family, I am so sad to hear of Jack's passing. As you know, Jack and my late husband Phill Rock were very close when you lived in St. Louis. Jack used to say that the two of them were "Semitic Brothers"---with our Jewish roots and your Lebanese Christian roots. Jack was such a sensitive, caring, and joy-filled man. He will be missed. I'm sending my deepest sympathy.

We at North Island Barbers, always looked forward to seeing Jack for his hair cut, he was a pleasure to be around and to be in his company. He will be sorely missed.

One of our favorite passengers at the HHI airport. It was always a pleasure to be greeted by Jack and his sweet wife Bernice. I will always cherish those times.
RIP

May you rest in peace my friend. Memories of the HH Jazz Society come flooding back. You were one of the kindest, most interesting & supportive people I've known. My love and deepest sympathy to you Bernice and your beautiful family. He was a gem of a human being.

Michele,
I'm not sure if you remember this old one but, I wanted to offer my condolences to you, your family and all of your dad's friends. We will keep all in our thoughts and prayers as you go through one of life's hardest realities.

Love, hugs and prayers to all!

We thank God for the life of Jack, for his research, and writing, and for defending the dignity of all peoples, especially those stereotyped by western media. His commitment to empower future generations of young journalists, film, and media people is an important legacy to remember. He will continue to be an inspiration for many. Our heartfelt condolences go to Bernice and the whole family. We hold you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Jack's gentle good humor and extraordinary erudition made him an absolute joy and a wonderful teach of us all.

I had the great pleasure many years ago of meeting Jack Shaheen, Jr. several times and exchanging some research data. He was one of the most open, generous, and humane people I ever met. It was an honor to have received his encouragement to continue my research. My memories of him are so joyful. His dear family may never know just how many lives he touched. What a beautiful legacy. My thoughts are with you.
