Not sure what to say?

I was in the first graduating class at MacArthur High (1967) and Mr. Singley taught my geometry class 1964-65. I remember him as one of my best and favorite teachers, and I am very pleased to learn of his long and distinguished career. I'm also very sad to hear of his passing. He was much loved and admired, and I think it's wonderful that the Academy will continue to honor his name.

Dear family members,
What a delightful man we have all lost. I so enjoyed running into Mr. Singley at the Ad building and sharing conversations about ESL over the years. But we had the best dialogues when it came to talking about our cats - his was a beloved black cat, Fluffy!
I certainly share in the family's great loss.

To the family and friends of Mr. Jack Singley ~~ Mr. Singley will continue to be a hugely important force of leadership, service, kindness, and plain old neighborliness in the life of this community. Throughout our family's 20 years in Irving, Mr. Singley has added to our quality of life in countless ways: he selected and mentored the principals and other school leaders who shaped my daughter's life and education; and he was a strong and generous model to me in my professional life and...

Our world is a lesser place with Jack's passing, and I'll miss him.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Singley. He was my first school principal when I attended my grandfather's school, T.J. Lee Elementary. I will never forget being called to his office once; not for being in trouble, but because I had left home that morning without my house key and he personally wanted to make sure I received it so I would not be locked out of the house when I got home. I will always remember Jack Singley as a great principal who truly cared for the...

I have admired and respected Jack Singley as long as I have known him. I am proud to be a member of the faculty of Jack E Singley Academy, which bears his name. Some of my fond memories of him come from the planning stages of the Academy; from hearing him speak on Teacher Appreciation Day at Plymouth Park Baptist Church, and rather especially, chatting with him in the grocery store, where he told me he did all the shopping and most of the cooking. Mrs. Singley, was he telling me the truth?...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To the Singley Family,
I want to send my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences at this time of great loss. Mr. Singley was a good and stern task master to his students and they loved and appreciated him for it. His is a stewardship that will be greatly missed in this world. As a member of the Nimitz High Class of 1974, I will keep good thoughts for this good man. As a Class our prayers are with Mr. Singleys Family.

Mr. Singley was a great supporter to me professionally and a great friend to the Keep Irving Beautiful program during my time there. He listened so intently, it sometimes left me quaking in my boots, but he always gave me astute advice and encouragement ... sometimes to go forward, sometimes to take a different course...but always encouraging. My prayers and sympathies to the entire Singley family. Your Jack will be missed by me.

God speed to Jack and God bless you all.
