Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Jack's passing and am so very sad. My deepest condolences to the family. I met Jack and Fran in 2000 on a European bus trip. We ended up in the back of the bus together and had a blast. He called my sister and.i the "killer Bs" . We did keep in touch for a.number of years, but sadly not recently. Please give Fran a hug from me.

Mike ,sad to read about your dad. I've lived here 33 years and probably saw your dad at a Aggie game or around town. Reading his obituary took me back to my Refugio Bobcat days. May God bless your family during this time.

My first encounter with Mr. Slack was when I entered Refugio County Hospital for some tests as an 11 year-old boy. He was responsible for the televisions in patient rooms. When he came to my room, I told him I would not have quarters to operate the TV until my dad got up there. Mr. Slack told me he was going to provide TV for me free of charge. That was the kind of man Jack Slack was. Jack and Fran were friends with my parents, the late Rev. and Mrs. Bob Hogg. Jack and my dad were in...

I first met Jack in the late 80s. I was selling supplies to his oil and gas operating company. He was a big Aggie as well as my family and we got to be good friends for many years. We talked lots of Aggie Football. Recently, I talked to him one day and told him that my mom had passed away in August, she was from Woodsboro. Jack and Mrs Slack knew her and we had a great conversation. I was sad to hear his passing. He will be dearly missed by all. Gig em Jack and blessing to your family.

Sue Ellen so sorry to hear about your dad. I know he meant so much to you. My prayers are with you and your family at this time.

I am so thankful for the opportunity I’ve had the past few years to literally sit at Jack Slack’s feet at Parc At Traditions and soak up his wisdom, stories, and godly example. Jack and Fran have been lifelong friends with my family and my life is blessed because of that friendship. I will miss him terribly and I will forever cherish sweet memories of times together. His life was a perfect and beautiful example of how to love others well and how to glorify and honor God!

Jack Slack and his family were my neighbors growing up next door. Though I seldom saw him after that, somehow I still consider Jack my neighbor.

We thank God for the privilege of knowing Jack & Fran Slack. They were neighbors to my Dad at The Parc of Traditions. Jack was a wonderful man. A good friend, caring, faithful and compassionate man. He often spoke of his love for his family (especially his Fran) and friends. He loved the Lord and gave thanks for all things. To Jack’s family & friends: We will be praying that God will help to heal your hearts and that you will rejoice in knowing the many blessings that Jack brought to...
