Read MoreAh, yes--He was an editor of the leftie paper "The Guardian"--and I was, at 21, a lowly assistant reporter. Later on, his daughter attended the high school at which I taught & was the ex-girl-friend of one of my favorite students. He spoke at our school, but when I introduced myself, alas--to my chagrin--he didn't remember me. So sad to read of his death!

Indeed a loss to this world, but Jack led a principled and joyous life. I lived with him and loved him for about three years while he worked for UPI and while he was at Allenwood. Unfortunately, I ended up using drugs for six months and with Jack's push and my parents insistence entered Synanon for successful rehab. I saw Jack a couple of times after that and he looked great and sounded as "revolutionary" as ever. My love to Mally and Kirk, if you even remember me. He was a great Dad.
