Jack Homer Sonntag Nov. 23, 1980 - June 28, 2006

Jack was a loved and loving man. His loss leaves a hole in our hearts and our world. He leaves behind his grieving parents, Dick and Alison Sonntag, his grandmother, Lelia Henderson, his sister Lorrie Brown, brothers Lee and Louis Michael, his uncles and aunts: Homer and Ellen Henderson, Jack and Betsy Sonntag and Brian and Jann Sonntag; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, his best friend Will Travis, his boss Gary Klump (whom he very much admired), and his co-workers at Center Street Automotive. Jack enjoyed playing football in high school and loved his job as an auto mechanic. Jack went where he was needed and, when he gave his word, he never failed to deliver. Jack loved going to Disneyland. One photo of Jack at Disneyland was made a part of the Disneyland 50-year anniversary. Jack had a deep spiritual connection with God . Jack's family regrets the circumstances of his death, but asks that he not be remembered for his final act, but for his life. To that end, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Clover Park Technical College Foundation in honor of Jack Homer Sonntag, 4500 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499. This money will be used for an annual scholarshipfor students in the auto mechanics program. Call 253-589-5782 for more information. Arrangements by Piper-Morley Funeral Home, 253-472-3353. Not sure what to say?

Jack was one of my favorite people in High School, I would look forward to Algebra class because he was in it. To this day, I will always have a slight crush on him, and I am thankful that I knew such a wonderful person, as he was. I will miss him, and already do. He is in my thoughts and his family is my prayers.

I did not know your son very well but my brother got to while working along side him at the auto shop (his name is David). My brother had become very close with Jack and looked forward to their daily jokes and having fun while working. I and my family are truley sorry for your loss.

Mr. and Mrs. Sonntag: Please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved son. My prayers are with you through this difficult time.

I was child hood friends with Lee & Lou and I remember how Jack was younger than us and wanted to fit in with us so bad, He would irratate the twins and they would just love him and try to make him feel good. They were very kind and patient with him. He was a good child AND well loved by all. He was the twinkle of Allison's eye! I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Alison, Dick and Family,
We were saddened to read about the loss of your son. We will pray for you and your family as you grieve his loss.
We pray that you find solace in his life, in the person he was, both loved and loving.

Dear Alison and Dick:
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I appreciate your words in the obituary notice.

Dear Alison and Dick,

Your words in Jack's notice are moving. Indeed, may people remember Jack for the totality of his life and the difference he wanted to make in the lives of others. You two must realize and know that you raised a son who continually gave of himself to others and cared so much about family and friends. You are loved and Jack will be missed. Remember to take care of yourselves and those within your family and rely on others. Love, warmth and prayers.

Alison and Dick,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. A life of love and good is always that. God bless you.

Lovingly,
Janet, Mary & Caty
