Jack Homer Sonntag Nov. 23, 1980 - June 28, 2006
Jack was a loved and loving man. His loss leaves a hole in our hearts and our world. He leaves behind his grieving parents, Dick and Alison Sonntag, his grandmother, Lelia Henderson, his sister Lorrie Brown, brothers Lee and Louis Michael, his uncles and aunts: Homer and Ellen Henderson, Jack and Betsy Sonntag and Brian and Jann Sonntag; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, his best friend Will Travis, his boss Gary Klump
(whom he very much admired), and his co-workers at Center Street Automotive. Jack enjoyed playing football in high school and loved his job as an auto mechanic. Jack went where he was needed and, when he gave his word, he never failed to deliver. Jack loved going to Disneyland. One photo of Jack at Disneyland was made a part of the Disneyland 50-year anniversary. Jack had a deep spiritual connection with God . Jack's family regrets the circumstances of his death, but asks that he not be remembered for his final act, but for his life. To that end, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Clover Park Technical College Foundation in honor of Jack Homer Sonntag, 4500 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499. This money will be used for an annual scholarshipfor students in the auto mechanics program. Call 253-589-5782 for more information. Arrangements by Piper-Morley Funeral Home, 253-472-3353.
