Not sure what to say?

Such sad news to hear of Mr. Spearing's passing. My brother and I were blessed to have him as our music teacher. His talent and extreme kindness will never be forgotten. So many lives he has touched.
God Bless the family,
-Angie Chonko (Seiders)

Mr. Spearing taught me how to play drums. I do rememeber the tee-tee-ta-ta also. He was a great man, and very patient with us students, which that took a lot for me. God Bless the family, and cherish the memories forever.

I was blessed to meet Jack when I was a substitute teachers aide at Kunkel Elementary. My two children also enjoyed Jack's music classes. I will always remember Jack teaching the kids a new song with his tee-tee-ta-ta! He was an exceptional man. Please accept my sympathies in your loss.

I remember Jack when I was a student at Middletown in the 1960's as part of the team of Larry Arnold, Ron Poorman (and later Ed Braun) and Jack Spearing. I thought of Jack many times through my music education career and am sorry to hear of his passing. To have so many people writing their fond memories shows what type of a man and a teacher he was. What a wonderful legacy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

Mr.Spearing taught me to be a drummer + gave me an appreciation for many types of music for which I'll always be grateful. In addition he was one of the nicest men I've ever known.God Bless. My sincere condolences to your family.

Mr. Spearing taught me to be a drummer + to luv all types music.Thank U for such a wonderful gift.God Bless You + Thank U!

I worked with Jack at Middletown. He was passionate that music and the arts were not extras, but key components in student learning. He will also be remembered for his patience, low-key sense of humor, and his kindness. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time of year.

As a first grader Jack was my first introduction to music. He was my music teacher and band leader. He always was interested in me and my growth in music. He was willing to show me music "tricks" with my instrument, trombone. He was also my friend in personal life. He taught me the value of music in personal growth. When we would meet after his retirement he remembered my name and always asked how I was doing in life. I continued to play after graduation and enjoyed music thanks to him. ...

We remember Jack as a loving and caring brother-in-law. He loved his God, wife, daughters, grandchildren and his extended family and friends
