Not sure what to say?

I just now saw this and am greatly disturbed that such a great man had this to go thru after all he helped through the years and helped them deal with their pain as he did with me. Dr. Stern did the surgery on my back about 1983 in Dallas. No other doctor would approach it. He was a true winning soldier to me. I was so impressed with and his work. After that one I went again in @ 1992 and he said to wait and see. He told me more about the functions of my body than any other doctor ever did. ...

To all the Stern Family,
I was very sad to hear of the passing of your dad....so many memories of our childhood, I remember your dad liked ketchup on his eggs and your mom would put a clothespin on her nose..He was such a wonderful man and I know how much he will be missed. Hope to catch up with you all, take care. Your old neighbor & friend Katie Maher

As Nursing Administrator of Med-Surg Nursing, I worked for many years at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas with Dr. Stern. He was "stern" yet kindly, a wonderful combination. I was always confident that he had the right answers and his patient's best interest at heart.
It was an honor to work with him.

As a neuro ICU RN at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas I remember Dr Stern so very well. He cared very much for his patients and always recognised and appreciated our input.
When my brother visited Dallas from Australia Dr Stern invited us out to the ranch and delighted us with his love of his cattle and the land, he was an informed and gracious host.
Dr Stern was a multifacited personality, always caring despite his sometimes gruff exterior.
I will miss him but will always...

Dr. Stern performed my first brain tumor surgery at age 25, then again in 1986 for the second one. He will be remembered by me for saving my life and his wonderful sense of humor and making you feel as if you were his only treasured patient. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Dr. Stern was a great physician and I remember him well when I worked for 14 year at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. He was a great person and I am saddened for your loss. May God give you strenth in your loss.

My prayers are with you

Dolores Storey, RN
