JACK EDWARD THOMPSON

May 2, 2023 Happy Heavenly Birthday, dear Jack. You are so missed by the Dr. Frank Fischer family. You were the reason for many happy musical roles cast to our 2 girls. Not only were you a brilliant vocal mentor, you also helped us to keep them respectful, punctional and on task. Your vocal preludes for daughter Kaki's wedding were beyond exquisite! I miss our happy Arabella's lunches at your favorite table... it was the only restaurant that presented and served with "real Linen napkins"....

Jack was my voice teacher at Florida Southern back in the late 90's, and he taught me more about life than just about anyone I have ever known. He helped me grow as a man and musician, and I still use the things he taught me today. He was a quirky guy with a great sense of humor, and he didn't seem to be afraid of anything. Jack will be forever etched in my fondest memories, and I am humbled to carry a small part of him with me as the days go by.

It is nice to see how my great uncle Jack was beloved by all. A fabulous talent and teacher who who engendered creativity and expressiveness with his students, friends and family. I have my beautiful memories of times well spent with him and Jay. His rich laughter and wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

A sad end to a long and pleasant saga. I will miss you

My dearest Jack,

We have been left so rich here on earth for the time we spent with you throughout your life. Throughout the many years you spent on the faculty at Florida Southern College, we all enjoyed your beautiful musical gifts, your incredible humor, and great passion for friends, students, and faculty.

You and Jay were the most wonderful hosts - and again - we all enjoyed the wonderful events you hosted at your home.

The heavenly choir will be all the more beautiful with Jack's amazing voice! He was a dear friend for about 50 years, and also for my husband after we married. Jack could always bring a smile or laugh with his sense of humor. He was unique and will be greatly missed. Our condolences to the family.
