Not sure what to say?

I have many fond memories of Mr. Turner. When I was young, he would come to Toronto to work. Over the many visits, he learned our family grace "Thank the Lord for Happy Hearts...". John, my husband, and I were honored to have him say the grace at our wedding.
My other memory of Jack was of a sailing trip with my grandfather Wilmer Barrett. We snagged the line of a lobster pot on the propeller of the boat. This stalled the engine. Jack was very calm through the whole ordeal of the...

My greatest memories of uncle Jack are just sitting and listening to him tell stories. He talked to anybody who would listen about Windhaven and the family history. He spoke with a fervor and candor so we couldn't help but become as excited about it as he was. He will be greatly missed, and I am sad that i didn't take advantage of more opportunities to simply sit and listen. God bless his family and loved ones and help them through this difficult time. My prayers are with you.

Grampa was my mentor and one of my very best friends. I will continue in my quest for a 29 in his honor. I will miss my weekly cribbage games with him.

I have been transcribing the Windhaven journals and many of the most touching entries were written by Jack. What a love he had for family and the homestead.
And what a love for life. One of my fondest memories of him happened a few years ago. Dan was giving the children rides around the lawn at Windhaven on a trailer he was pulling with our ATV. Jack was sitting in the front yard watching with glee when, on one pass, he hollered out, "Hey! Do you give just anyone rides on that?" Dan...

We are saddened by Jack's passing. May the Lord bless and keep each one closest to him.

I did not know Jack as well as some of you but from the little time I was able to spend with him at the Family Reunions each year I learned about someone who loved life to the fullest and loved the young members of our Family Association. It was not just the young who looked forward to the great ice cream he brought each year but all of us who were there. The love and enthusiasm he had for Windhaven was not only seen in the various work projects he was involved in but...

My very good friend Jack will be missed by me a great deal as we often talked many hours at the reunion. Jack was always able to fill in many gaps in my questions and had a world of knowledge about windhaven that others just didn't have.I miss you my friend. Best regards, Ken Tewksbury.

In earlier years when attending family reunion Jack Tewksbury Turner always gave everyone a hearty welcome at our annual event held at Windhaven, our ancestral home and his birthplace in N. Wilmot, NH. My first memories of Jack were in his role as the “ice cream man” who cheerfully doled out generous helpings of the ice cold treat on reunion Sunday – the perfect remedy for those steamy days on the hill. His enthusiasm for life was evident in everything he did. He often wrote in the family...

I have heard wonderful stories over the years about Mr. Jack Turner, as a result of my friendship with his sister-in-law Betty and niece Heather. You are a special, generous man who performed all kinds of charitable works in and around the Reading community where you once lived. God bless you in your eternal reward. I remain a Turner family friend.
