Not sure what to say?

My name is Gerry Mann. My wife Midge Duncan and I live next door to the Turnquists. This is my tribute to Jack.

They say it takes a community to raise a child. I believe it also takes that same community to support the families of those who have passed on.

I am so privileged to be part of this community.

Jack Turnquist was my friend, my neighbor and my mentor. I only had the pleasure of being part of Jack’s life for twelve short years; I know that many of you knew him...

Edith, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Jack was a wonderful person both professionally and otherwise. My only regret is that I didn't get to work with him more than I did! Please take care...

Edith,

You are in our prayers. Jack meant so much to so many of us within the profession, both as a colleague and as a friend. His integrity and professionalism could not be excelled. To those he added his gentle spirit, his wit, and his most wonderful precision with words.

May God provide comfort and many fond memories for you and your family.

Dear Laura,

Jay and I just wanted to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your
family. May your memories bring you comfort and may they stay with you
always.

Love,

Jay and Marina Shortall

Dear Edith and Children:
My prayers have been with you and Jack since I was informed of his illness & of his passing.
We will all miss him greatly.

To Edith and the Turnquist family:

Kathi and I want to extend our deepest sympathy for your loss. Jack was a friend, mentor and colleauge to many and his influence will live on through those he touched. Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you in the days and months ahead.

The depth of sadness in Jack's passing is surpassed only by the warmth of feeling in the hearts and memories of all whom he touched. He was a true friend to all and a magnificently gentle mentor. Lessons he taught will be passed on forever. He will be missed in that special way that truly unique souls are missed. Go in love.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

I worked for Jack at Tillinghast and my memories of him have always been wonderful. I recently started working with another actuary who knew him and we had been discussing him just last week, and how much we both enjoyed working with Jack and the good ole days at Tillinghast. He made a impact on me and many others. I wanted to let his family know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
