Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Wait. He was a wonderful friend to my Mom at RV and he worked with our Stepfather John Shirey for many years. He will be missed by so many that loved him. Our deepest condolences for all of his family and friends.

I am so saddened by the news of Jack Wait’s passing. He was one the adults that I admired from childhood, as a neighbor and then later I as an adult I was blessed to be in touch with the Wait’s again via my parent’s neighborhood . Mr Wait was so kind and always genuinely interested in whatever I was doing. He and Jane were always encouraging and supportive. I will always remember the Wait’s home being a place of love, acceptance and welcoming visitors. Jack Wait was a true gentleman. I...

Myra and I would like to express our condolences to your family for the loss of your father, Jack.

I was fortunate to have lived close by growing up with Hunter, Steve, Jack and Jane. Jack became my lifelong friend and fatherly figure, who always showed me unconditional love, had passed away. I am grieving. A flood of cherished memories with Jack came pouring back after hearing the news. Jack had such a positive influence on my life. I will miss his irreplaceable friendship. He...

Jack was a wonderful Christian man, engineer, and friend. We were blessed to live next door to him and Jane for close to 20 years, and we loved them both so much. Our first thought when we saw the obituary was that we knew he and Jane were so happy to be together again! Shortly after we met them, we learned he grew up in Clanton, as did Dottie’s mother. When she and her two sisters came to see us, Jack came over and it was such a joy to witness their visit with each other. They had so much...

Very sorry to read this. Jack was patient and helpful when I was learning the ropes as science writer for The Huntsville Times (1977–85). People like him were part of what made MSFC the best NASA center.

I worked with Mr. Waite on the Executive Staff at NASA. He was such a pleasant and thoughtful gentleman who was always willing to share his expertise with those of us who were way beneath his pay grade. I remember him with much kindness and send my condolences to his family.

Mr. Waite was truly one of the kindest people I've ever known. He was my neighbor when I was a child. All the neighborhood kids loved him and many of us remained lifelong friends with him and his wife. My condolences to Hunter and Steve my childhood friends, his grandchildren, and great-grandchilren. He has joined his precious wife in Heaven. If ever there were two people who belong in Heaven, it is Jack and Jane Waite. Now that he's joined her, may they rest in peace together.
