Dear family of Jack Walker. While I never met Mr. Walker, my mother, Rosalie Dunn Utes worked with him at the Girard Hospital in the mid 50's while we were living in Girard. I first met Jack after he took his seat in the Kansas Senate, succeeding Jan Meyers, who I had the good fortune of serving with. He set aside all his personal accomplishments accumulated by that time, both politically and professionally, and had the grace of simply introducing himself as being from Girard, which was near my hometown of Pittsburg.
