Not sure what to say?

To my big brother,

In one of the stars
I shall be living
In one of them
I shall be laughing
And so it will be
as if all the stars
were laughing
when you look
at the sky at night

-The Little Prince
Antoine de Saint-Exupery

The greatest tribute we can give is not grief but gratitude.

We are proud and thankful that you are our brother.

Much love, Susie

Jeff and Kathy,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your Dad. I did not know him but from everything I have read he must have been a wonderful person. Jeff, I can relate to your going to "visit" your Dad. I lost both of my parents in 2005 and I do the same. It gives me comfort as I'm sure it does you. I'm so glad I got to see you and Kathy and your family. I pray Gods's grace and peace be with you and may you find comfort in your memories of him.
My love to both of you,

To my sometimes partner and my all times, friend, I bid you farewell from this planet to the arms of God Almighty. I truly hope you are there and that we might all be together again in His holy place. For now, you will remain one of the bright memories in my heart. I truly loved you, dear Jack. Your children and those of us who knew you so well will strive to maintain some of those standards you exemplified for us with your caring, leadership, and disciplines. Thanks for being one of my...

What a wonderful tribute to your Dad. We thank you, Laurie for sending the newspaper clippings, military letters, etc. which gave us a wider view of our brother's adult life. He was a great guy and you all should be proud to be his children.

Uncle Buck and Aunt Genie

Dad,

I finished the video of your life and the services. If anyone would like a copy of the DVD, please email me at [email protected]
and I will be happy to send you a copy. It is a little lengthy, 1 hour, but I think it is worth watching and very touching. I hope it honors my father in the way that he deserves. I know we all miss him. It is unfortunate that I did not ever fully appreciate the incredible father I had until much later in my life. I am blessed that the...

Dad,
Well, its a new year and not one that I want to face alone. I cant tell you how many times I have reached for my phone to share something with you, to get advice or to tell you when one of the kids games were. I went by and saw you on New Years day. I know you are proud of where you were put to rest. The services we beautiful and many many of your friends attended. I am trying to stay strong because I know that is what you would expect me to do but I aint doing so good. Your...

I always thought Uncle Jack looked like the actor Bill Bixby from the Incredible Hulk. So when I would talk about Uncle Jack I would refer to him as Bill Bixby. When I told my family about him, I told them that story. I loved hearing his stories from him and stories about him. I always remember the store he owned that had the airplane above it and I always wanted to visit that store.
He will be missed and our condolences go out to his family from ours.

Laurie, Jeff and Kim - Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Uncle Jack was truly the BEST! Through the years, I have often thought back to the family reunion at Gramma Werner's when I was 11 and he gave me the $100 bill folded into a ring and told me to use it to come visit you guys. Not only was I impressed with a $100 bill, but that he would make that offer to me. I felt very special that day and had one of the greatest summers of my life! All thanks to Uncle Jack -...

Laurie, Jeff and Kim- Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I know my boys would have loved spending even 1 minute with your dad because he was that special. We love you so much.
