Jack Charles, Sept 4, 1929 – Mar 30, 2018, beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Griffin). Resident of Mallard Cove Senior Living. Former resident for 59 years of Long Beach, CA. Preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mary Edna Williams and brothers James and Joseph. Survived by cherished sister Janet Glardon and brother-in-law Dave (Nita) Griffin. Treasured by nieces Jennifer (David) Sayers, Julie (John) Williams and family friend Dolores “Dee Dee” Parreira. Passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2018, age 88. Private services will be held at the discretion of the family. Jack spent his formative years in Cincinnati where he graduated from Reading High School with letters in football, basketball, and track. In 1958 he moved with his brother and dear sister-in-law Jim and Winnie Williams to Long Beach, CA where he met the love of his life, Patricia. Jack returned to Cincinnati in his later years where he enjoyed reminiscing and attending family get-togethers. I was Jack's next door neighbor in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach, CA for almost 30 years. After Jack's beloved wife Patricia past away, I became Jack's best friend. I will always cherish the Saturday lunches he and I shared at our favorite restaurant on 2nd Street, Taco Surf. We are both creatures of habit, as we would sit at the same table, order our favorite lunch entrees every time, and always drink 2 icy cold beers. I know Jack is in a better place now, but I will always miss...
