Jack Wirtz

Mr. Wirtz was one of the most influential teachers of my life at EHS, and I teach music and play my cello to this day because of the love of music he instilled in me. He knew how to use a rare mix of humor, toughness, high standards without shaming, commitment, and understanding of the needs of each student. Truly a great teacher and a great man. He will be missed!!

So sorry to hear about Jack's passing - he was always so nice to me whenever I came to visit Alida.
She told me "I only had one child, but he was a really good one!"
He'll be truly missed!

We were sorry to hear of Jack's passing but know he is in a better place. Surely, his children and grandchildren and Katie will miss him. He was a wonderful musician and father
