Not sure what to say?

In 1987 I was a senior at Cypress Creek HS and fortunate to be a "administrative assistant" for the office of the assistant principles. Fortunate because my path was about to cross with a Mr. Worthington.

Having a athletic background, Mr. Worthington and I hit things off very well. Very well to the point that my "administrative assistant" class was turn into stopping at McDonalds in the morning and getting breakfest for two, take it directly to Mr. Worthington's office and then...

I could not have asked for a better friend than Jack Worthington. And, I think that could be said by anyone who knew him. He was always there for you. Our fishing adventures were always great times, and the fish we caught were just an added bonus.
As a co-worker, he was a super person to be around. You could not ask for any better. His love for his family, friends, and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is an example for all to follow. We are truly going to miss him.

Jack and...

Mrs Worthington,

I was saddened to learn of your husbands death this afternoon, as I fondly remember "Happy Jack" from my days of playing basketball at Clear Creek High School class of 74. He was a great Teacher and Coach who impacted the lives of so many Students and Athletes from the Houston area. I will always remember him.

Evelyn and family,
We just want to echo the sentiments of all who knew your wonderful Jack---he truly was "one of a kind." He was the heart of the basketball team he loved so much---no matter where the team met or who managed to get there, everyone wanted to know "how was Jack?" --"was Jack coming?"
We have known you both from the beginning--when freshman Evelyn met
big ole Jack. We were lucky enough to know you, to be there when Nancy
was born, to share some coaching days with...

Jack has always been very special to our family since our days together in CLC. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you go on with your life. Jack will live in your hearts forever. Our best, Hugh, Kaye , Keith T., Donna and Carla Doss

Jack Worthington was the man you wanted on your side while teaching at Cypress Creek High School. He was the friend you could count on for commiseration over some troubled teen and his wry sense of humor set things into perspective whenever I was at a boiling point.

I shall never forget Jack's rescue when I taught Study Skills back in the '80's. One day a set of unexpected and rather confrontational parents showed up at my classroom door. Being upstairs, one never expected outsiders...

EVELYN
I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR OF JACKS' PASSING. JACK WAS ALWAYS A SPECIAL PERSON AND ONE WHOM I HAD A LOT OF RESPECT FOR. IN REFLECTION, I CAN REMEMBER SOME OF THE SPECIAL TIMES THAT WE ENJOYED AS TEAMMATES AT SWT. JACK AND I ORCHESTRATED THE ROUTINES OF THE BENCH "FOLLIES".
THAT WAS A VERY SPECIAL EXPERIENCE DURING OUR TIME AS TEAMMATES AT SWT.
ANN AND I ARE PLANNING ON ATTENDING THE FUNERAL ON WEDNESDAY MORNING.OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. MAY GOD BLESS YOU IN A VERY...

Jack was liked by me and everyone else. He was true to everyone he had an exchange with, as he was giving in truth to all . He was never two faced or behind your back.As the #1- 6th man on our natl. champ team , he was #1 on the follies team and everyone came to watch them as much as the BBgame. After college, we competed against each other as coaches of BB in west Tex.I was at Rankin and he was at McCamey. We neither wanted to defeat the other. I don't recall the outcome! His precious wife...

I was one of the persons lucky to have been blessed by his tutelage at Creek (grad 1982). My thoughts, and prayers, go out to all of his family at this time.
