Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I was hoping to see him this year. He was a good friend.

All the best to Jack's family. Jack taught me how to type and to toe the line at Madison in 1961-65. Teachers like Jack were life-long role models for me. He was one of the best.

Some memories I have of Mr. Wright are that he told the class he always got a haircut every three weeks. He always wore a suit and tie and impeccable. He had the class do interesting things, such as choosing a product we really liked, writing to the company telling them why and then when the response came, we would share them to the class. Many times the companies sent free products. Then we did the opposite, and wrote to companies with complaints and again reported to the class. It was...

What a perfect picture for his obituary, always smiling but a fair amount of mischief behind those eyes. I too was a student of Mr. Wrights in the 70s. Strict but fair was a fair description and quite capable of setting you straight with a few well chosen words. I looked forward to his class and will never forget the narrow ties. I wish I'd known he lived a few short hours from me, I would have looked him up. I share in your sorrow.

I too was a student of Mr. Wrights back in the 70s. You chose the perfect picture to use for the obit, always a smile but you could see the mischief in his eyes. He was the consummate teacher, stern but fair and more then what he taught was how he taught it. Probably one of the most memorable teachers I ever had. If I had known that he was just a few hours away I would have looked him up. I share your pain.

I was a student at Beaverton High School and graduated in 1975. I took General Business and Business Law from him. I always admired his strictness, fairness, humor and candor. He was always positive and encouraging and was a huge influence in my life. I have thought about him many times over the years and will always appreciate his value to my life.
