Jack W. Yeck

Jack, Doug and I attended St. Stanislaus School in Ludington, Mi. After the family moved to Muskegon , I would travel there to spend a week or two with Jack and his family. We still kept in touch over the years but lost contact once we were out of high school. We finally reconnected sometime after my mother passed away. My wife and I were able to see Jack and his family at Julie's memorial. The last visit we had with Jack was such a great time as we both share the same birthday and...

My fondest memory of Jack ( who somehow got tagged with the moniker 'Bohunk') is our hunting trip up to his uncle's cabin in Freesoil way back in the '60's. Tim DeMarse (upon who Jack hung the moniker 'Benarse'), Jack and I had just passed through Custer and there was a big, muddy ominous looking dip in the road ahead and Tim hollered out "just gun it!", and those words lived in infamy as a rally cry for tough times ahead. Needless to say, we spent that rainy night axle deep in that mud hole....

So sorry for your loss, Jack was a great man and will be greatly missed. I remember going to Jack and Julie´s house on E. Larch playing cards, drinking beers and just socializing. Jack loved life and I know missed Julie dearly. Ou condolences and prayers to the family and friends. God Bless.
