Like Gina, I also had Mrs. Bernstein as my Latin teacher at Andrew Hamilton Elementary School in Philadelphia. I was very sad to learn of her passing. My prayers go out to her family, friends and loved ones.

Dear Jen,

My heart goes out to you and your family. I can only imagine the joy that Nina brought Jackie. I remember fondly the reunions that Jackie graciously hosted many years ago.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jackie showed me strength thru her pain and fortitude to meet each week with courage. She never complained and when asked how the day was going that I was greeted with a smile and a brief answer. A very special friend indeed.
