Not sure what to say?

Jackie was like a second mother to me.
Our mother Pat Bowles and jackie were best friends
And co parented us through the heady times of the 60s and 70s.
We were an extended family and enjoyed the fierce love Jackie gave to all of us.
She was elegant, sexy, extremely intelligent and loving.
She said it like it was,we always knew where we stood with Jackie ,which was very grounding to us growing up.
As a family of 3 girls she mentored us on...

Gregarious and engaging, Jackie's gift of welcoming love was given to many. Her zest for life was inspiring. May many warm memories continue to bring you joy.

Jackie was a firecracker and was equally as caring and kind. Although our neighborly relationship was brief, we are so lucky to have known her. She looked out for us and we are grateful to her. She was a wonderful woman of a rare and fading breed. Jackie Lavey is missed in Raleigh Hills.

Jeff, Greg & Dan and all of Jackie's and Bob's great family ... and it was always the two names spoken as one. Here's to all the years of jazz festivals. None more fun than those drives to Sun Valley and all the rented condos and final night's concerts in the ice arena. Happy Memories. Pat & Andy Dignan

I don't know your family, but read this obituary in The Oregonian. What a wonderful woman and a great attitude. You were so lucky to have had her in your lives for so long and have such wonderful memories. I wish you peace and healing in your loss.

I have many warm memories of Jackie, but one I'll never forget was on the occasion of her husband Bob's memorial gathering. I apologized profusely for not sending a note ahead of time. She hugged me and said, 'You don't ever have to send me a note. I know exactly what's in your heart.' She was a class act, and she'll be greatly missed.

Jackie with Jack and Mark

Jackie lived fiercely and loved even more fiercely. Our boys, Mark and Jack, were her first grandchildren. Like her own boys, no one adored them more. She attended every one of Mark Lavey's plays and Jack's baseball games - their best fan!! I loved her for her "tell it like it is" attitude and because she loved our boys as much as Jeff and I.

Jackie with Mark and Jack

Jackie Lavey was a Mom to me alongside her 3rd son. She was a warm light with an infectious cackle of a laugh that kept you in the room. Her front door was always open.
