Ms. Henderson,
It's been a year & a half since you left earth, you were an amazing person who not only cared about the youth of our community because they were your students, you cared about them as people!!! You were there for my daughter when times were really hard for her & for that I am truly grateful!! You are truly missed by many & now I see that you were an Angel here on earth that blessed everyone who came to know you!!!

I think about you every day. It feels just like yesterday that you were here then you weren't. At the same time it also feels like 8ts been an eternity. I struggle every day to cope with what happened and it still does not feel real even a year later. Chloe always tells me that you wouldn't we want us to be sad which is true and to think about the good times which I do, but it is just so hard not to be sad and angry. I miss you so much jackie. Love you always girl. My best friend.

I still think about her evreyday. still speachless.

I met Jackie in Aptos, CA in February 2016. I was excited to take her on a Valentine's Day date to some hiking spots and a new restaurant in the Santa Cruz mountains. We also attended a Super Bowl party and she easily made friends with everyone. She was so friendly and you could feel the dedication she had to her students and after school athletes. I was in awe of her courage to move across the country away from her family to a new place and was inspired by seeing her do so well out here. I...

I was only at the high school for a year and a half but it was long enough to feel very welcomed by Jackie and also to recognize what an amazing human being she was! She clearly love being a teacher and had a great adventurous spirit! The loss of her is huge not only For her family and friends but also her teacher community! My heart goes out to all of you! I'm really shocked and saddened to hear about her passing. I found out about it via her now memorialized Facebook account. I'm just in utter disbelief... just a few months ago, I remember seeing her at NMCHS. She was looking at me from afar, smiling, and as I walked towards her, we exchanged pleasantries. If I was single, I'm sure I would have asked her out on a date, and probably now I would have been mourning more than someone I knew in passing but a blooming romance.

Such a wonderful, vibrant and caring teacher/coach that I was fortunate to work with at NMCHS. ❤ Continued blessings to her family, friends, students and student-athletes and those that she touched during her time here in earth....she will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by all.

As a new NMCH teacher and colleague of Jackie I am heartbroken for your loss, and ours. Her positive energy and connection to her students will live on at North Monterey County High. She was loved and respected by students and teachers. May you find solice that her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched. She will not be forgotten.
