October 30
May the hearer of prayer grant you the needed strength and peace during your difficult days ahead. PS 116:5 you have my deepest sympathy for your loss.

PFC Jacob Allcott, on your 30th birthday:

You will always be my hero.

Thank you for inspiring me to be a better person.

Today, in your honor, I mailed care packages to two US Soldiers I am supporting through a volunteer organization [both are deployed to Afghanistan; both were 'adopted' in your honor]. And I'll be playing music all day.

"If I had a flower for every time I thought of you... I could walk through my garden forever." (quote, by Alfred Lord Tennyson)

Remembering you today and always.

I dont think there is one day thats gone by that I havent thought of Jacob. What a special guy. His friendship, patience, kindness and love touched my heart in a big way. Jacobs death rocked my world in a mighty way, its a long story but it made me look at life a lot differently. Ive lived my life for God ever since. I was so honored and blessed that his family let me be a part of the family gatherings and services, thank you....so much. What a great group of family and friends he had,...

To the family and friends of Pfc. Jacob H. Allcott:
Always remembering Jacob. "Some gave all."

As it approaches 6 years since Jacob's passing, please know that there are people who are still grateful and honor him for his dedication to make a better place.

Even though I never met you, I thank you for your service to our country.

Jacob and I were neighbor growing up and best friends in elementary school. We played outside, rode bikes, and stood in line together due to alphabetic order. His sister Heidi baby sat me. When my sister told me what happened it was an unreal experience. We hadn't spoke in probably 5 years, but you still never can totally process losing a person you've known your whole life. Words fail.
