My heart felt sympathy goes out to Jake's family. I was a classmate of his from DAHS, and it's just a shock to hear of his passing. May God be with his family through this time of tradgedy.

Although I havnt talked to Jake since middle school, I always knew he was a great guy to have as your friend and I feel horrible for losing contact with him. I knew him as a caring, sensitive guy who could give you great advice as to how to deal with anything you're going though. That would be an incredible thing to use right now... Wow, what to say. It's always tragic when someone we know goes so soon. I feel for the parents, family and friends. We didn't even make it to the 5 year reunion of high school.

I knew Jake from our german class, as well as band.

Jake was one of the greatest people I have ever known and one of my closest friends. He will be missed and I will hold him in my heart forever. I love you Jakey

I was extremely saddened to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Jake and his family.

I just felt that I had to write something. My daughter Amy Beard went to school with your son and only just found out of his passing. She actually ran into him a few weeks ago in Lancaster after not seeing him for at least a year. We send heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. Please remember the good times.

Jake was such a sweet person. There wasn't a thing he wouldn't do to make everyone smile. I'll never forget his smile! He will be so greatly missed. May God keep you close in your time of need.
