Dear Cousin Jack, I fondly recall how close we were growing up but life took us miles away from each other. However we did get to visit some time over the years especially a special Christmas some time ago and our visit to Florida when you had your house boat and were so excited about it. We had many long distance phone calls but I am sorry the last one did not happen. I pray that you and Alice have had a joyful reunion. Love, Anne

He treated my children as his own and enriched our lives with his wonderful humor. He and I were best of buddies, having...

I was fortunate to have worked for Jack Barile at Alden Road Exceptional Student Center from 1988 until his retirement from the Duval County Public Schools in 1996. We continued our friendship after his retirement and I was lucky enough to have been with him for his 80th birthday in November, 2007. Mr. Barile inspired me as a teacher and always had the best intetrest of his students in mind. He will be missed by many people in the Jacksonville community whose lives he touched. Rest...

Mr.Barile will be remembered by those who worked with him in exceptional child education , as a leader who was dedicated to improving the education and daily lives of special needs students. He made positive things happen for them each day. He advocated for the financing of special programs and services that gave kids a chance to be productive adults. I will remember him as an educational mentor and a friend since the early 1970's. My sympathy goes out to his family. You should be proud of...

I was a student at duPont in 1956. I remember when we drove to Key West for a football game. And we rode in Mr. Barile's Mercury convertible !! Wonderful memories.
