Not sure what to say?

Was a classmate of Joe's at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, 1970-71. Lost track of him for a while, then heard he was in Tulsa, OK. Had been meaning to get a hold of him when I visited my parents and brother in Oklahoma City. Now it's too late.

SMA Class 0f 1961

As a classmate at LSU, friend for over 40 years, and trusted professional colleague, Joe always remained intellegent, brave, witty, and loving. I shall miss his laugh, his candor, his honesty, and most of all his geniune interest in others. He will be as special in my memory as he was in my life.

Joe went out of his way to help the new cadets feel accepted and comfortable as thjey were introduced to the rigors of military life. I am so glad I got to see and talked to him at a recent reunion. Bill Johnson, '62, Anderson, SC.

I remember Joe as one of the really nice guys at SMA. We were part of the Louisiana cadre. I regret very much that I didn't get to see him at a reunion. My thoughts are with you.

I lived next door to Joe at Sewanee, school year 59-60.I have often thought of the fun(?) we had.I will remember Joe forever.
