May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Aunt Joannie and Cousins-
As I look at this picture of Uncle Jake it brings back memories. I will miss his smile and the times my parents would bring us to Allentown to visit all of you and the family reunions we had. It was so long ago but Uncle Jake still looks the same. I will be thinking of all of you as I cannot attend the services for him and have thought so many times of visiting. Now he is with my Dad (Elroy) in heaven and know that they are happy and at peace there together. If I...

To the Delong family: Please accept our condolences on your loss. Jacob was a very dear and kind man. May he rest in peace and may all of you take comfort in knowing he is with our Lord.

Dear Joan and Family,
Jake was a gentle, kind man. He was from the old school. I don't think there will ever be men like him again. I remember how he liked coming to our house. Jake always asked if my parents had their garden. He was a country boy at heart. My thoughts are with you during these hard times, try to stay strong.

My heart goes out to the entire DeLong family. I always associated Jake with his "man's best friend" Mikey. I also remember when he would clean out my parents oil-stove when I was younger. My dearest sympathy to the DeLong family.

To Joan and boys:
It's hard to understand why our loved ones are taken from us, but they leave us with special memories. Take comfort in knowing that you were a loving part of this long life. When the Lord calls for our loved ones he leaves a hole in our heart that is filled with remembering the wonderful time you had spent together.Hold on to the memories and let them get you through this time of sadness. Remember you have many friends and family who are there whenever you need them. John...

To Jake's Family:
We are sorry to hear this sad news. Jake was a very nice, kind man. We knew him while he worked for R&S Fuel Co. in Allentown. Jake was a friend to & worked for my dad, Dick Smith. When my dad passed away in 1982 our family operated R&S Fuel for a while and that is when my husband, my sister, and myself got to know Jake better. He was a hard worker and well-liked by the customers.
Our thoughts and prayers are for Jake and for his family during this difficult...
