Not sure what to say?

Wishing you comfort and peace during this difficult time. Sincerely,

I cared for Jake while he lived at Primrose, while he was definitely straight to the point he knew how to make me laugh, on my shifts I often looked forward to checking in on him and making sure he got to call his wife Mary. I will never forget his smile. When I resigned he was the first one I told and he told me anywhere I went they´d been lucky to have me and that no one would replace me. He was an ambitious researcher and truly passionate about his work. His results in regards to the history of russian-german settlers and the publication of our book have been regarded as some of the most influential work in this field in the past decades. Many genealogists are grateful for his work and effort and will be so for many generations to come. To spend time with him investigating leads was not only a pleasure but also highly productive. He will be duly missed!

To the Eichhorn Family, my deepest condolences on you loss.

Oh Mary we were so sorry to hear of Jake´s passing. We always think of him as such a kind and gentle man with a warm smile. We often smile with his attention to detail ~ the stakes and line to work in the yard. Someday we really will read your book. Thinking of you with fond memories.

Rest in peace Jacob, from Argentina my thanks for your always good predisposition to share genealogical data about our Eichhorn of Germany migrated to Denmark and then to Russia. It would have been wonderful to meet you in person.

Mary and Kurt, sorry to hear of Jake's passing. I always enjoyed talking and working with him back in the Dow days, he had a great career and sounds like a very active life after retirement.
