Not sure what to say?

Bill and I knew Jake through Rotary. He embodies the spirit of "service above self." So glad he had you, Diane, and the joy you shared. Sincere wishes of comfort and sympathy.

I met Jake 16 years ago as the Free Clinic was just getting started. He had been part of the beginning of the nation's original Free Clinic in San Francisco many years ago. He was a board member for Shenandoah Free Clinic. Even in his final and weakening months, he showed energetic interest and support of a new venture to bring more health care to area children. We will all miss his passion for bringing health care to those in need!

Thinking of Jakes family with heartfelt sympathy~

Dr Haun was a rare man. So very intelligent. His life was full with truly interesting stories and accomplishments. He embraced education, involvement and changing things for the better. Most importantly, he taught "community" to all who knew him. He loved Shenandoah County and showed a responsibility to leave it a better place. I think he did just that! Our sincere prayers and thoughts are with the Haun family.

So sorry to hear of Dr. Haun's passing. Prayers going out to Diane, Rosalie and Henry. God Bless, Julie Bragg

Such a nice man. Worked for him many years. Was always moving and being involved in different projects to enable the community and help others. He loved nature, history and family. He will surely be missed.

In sincere sympathy to the Haun Family and to all of Jake's many friends. Barbara and I enjoyed knowing and working with Jake who showed everyone his love for his community.

Sorry for your loss. Prayers are with the family.

Jake lived on Main Street and I lived on North Street Our back yards were in the Trotter's orchard and the railroad tracks. We had some great times just being boys. Climbing rail cars on the siding, gathering up fallen apples to make our own cider and working with all the sets he had in their basement. He was a teacher and friend that never faltered over our years of separation over the year. Many will miss him.
