Gladys, Mike and Dave,

Jake was a wonderful guy and he has a special place in my heart. I will always remember when I was 12 and we went camping in the pop up camper on the way to Aunt Faye's reunion. Jake took me to the rec center at the campground with a pocket full of quarters and taught me how to shoot pool. I have loved the game ever since and owe that to him. (A year later Dad actually bought a pool table for the house)Even though we lived quite a few miles apart for so...

Our sympathies to the family. Mr Hitz was my neighbor growing up in Lenker Manor. I grew up with Denny and lost touch since he moved to Florida.

He will be sorely missed by us all. He was a wonderful step-father and father-in-law, and a truly "great" grandfather. We are ever thankful for his presence in our lives.
