Jacob Colton Lane, age 18, of Iowa Park, passed away on November 24, 2017, at United Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 12, 1999 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of Brandon Lane and Melanie Walker. He was a native of Iowa Park and graduated from Iowa Park High School in May of 2017. He was a Texas Scholar.
Jacob was a self-taught computer programmer and network expert. Friends, family, and clients referred to him as the "Computer Picasso"! He took pride in repairing and rebuilding computers and electronics of all kinds. He was currently working at Sealed Air Corporation and looking forward to transitioning into their Information Technology department. Jacob was a longtime member of the Park Place Christian Church in Wichita Falls, TX.
Jacob will forever be remembered by his parents, Brandon and Cara Lane of Iowa Park, TX, Melanie and Pete Chapa of Rockwall, TX, and John Hicks of Rowlett, TX; as well as his siblings, Bethany and husband, Spencer Soto of Wichita Falls, TX, Elijah and Ava Hicks of Rockwall, TX, Brooklyn and Breeli Lane of Iowa Park, TX, Desiree Hicks of Wichita Falls, TX, and Ryan Bowden of Glendale, AZ. He is also survived by his grandparents, William and June Lane of Iowa Park, TX, Granny Yvonne Baker of Wichita Falls, TX, Jo Ann Marquart of Chillicothe, TX, and Gary and wife, Jill Marquart of Wichita, KS; great-grandmother, Frankie Marquart of Quanah, TX; great-uncle, Melvin Walker and aunt, Katheryn Walker; uncle, David Walker; and aunts, Kristi Lane of Iowa Park, TX, Jacy and husband Barry Nunnery of Iowa Park, TX, and Jennifer and husband Joseph Trufan of Chillicothe, TX; and several great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Freddy Walker; and Papa. Terry Baker of Wichita Falls, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Park Place Christian Church, 4400 Call Field Rd., Wichita Falls, with Rev. Alice Hupp, officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Bellevue, TX under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Visitation and Prayer Service will be held from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Park Place Christian Church.

2 years have gone by now! I'm looking forward to seeing you in heaven one day, son.
For anyone that reads these comments in the guest book, it is so nice to hear stories about your experience with Jacob. I encourage you to leave them as I come back to look at this from time to time.
