Not sure what to say?

I met Jake on the bus on our way to Fort Ord, CA. for basic training in the US Army. Jake was the Best Recruit in our Basic Training Company. Jake and I was transferred to Fort Huachuca, Arizona were we became Clerk Typist awaiting orders to attend Court Recording class but since Jake did such a great job as Clerk Typist he was stuck in Arizona while I went to Puerto Rico. Jake was a great person and I regret not knowing him after our military service.

So sorry to hear of Jake's passing! He was such a wonderful Christian man! He had such a love for children. Many memories of him working in the preschool department at Springs First Church!!! Lots of love to you, Charlene and you and your family will be in our prayers!!!

It was an honor to know him. He was a very sweet man. Loved his smile.

What a sweet Godly man. I was blessed to have known you and Charlene. This world needs more Jake's like you. See you in heaven.

Fond memories of your time in Las Cruces. Charlene, our thoughts and prayers will be with you as you and your family move forward.

Ah, Jake, you finally made it home. I'll miss your sweet smile, the one that said "I have a secret and I'm not gonna tell". You didn't have to tell--we knew already that you really, really, really loved Charlene. Your wife of 52 years-my goodness, where did all that time go? Love and see you soon, Cousin Joy

Our condolences to you all! God bless. Dave and Cindee Anderson

I love you Dad. Miss you so much! I know you would find all of this rigamarole silly -- wish I could hear you giggle!
