Jacob Dakota Roman, age 22, of Acushnet, MA, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018. He was the loving companion to Juliana Bachand.
He was born in Fall River, son of Jose Adiel Roman and step-mother Brenda Roman and his mother Dawn (Gosselin) Slattery and step-father James Slattery. Jacob was a construction worker. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends, loved to make people laugh, enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, cooking and animals.
Besides Jacob’s parents, he is survived by a grandmother Luz M. Velez a sister Samantha Roman of New Bedford, four step-sisters, Rebecca Slattery of Westport, Sarah Slattery of Fall River, Elizabeth Le Francois of Auburn, MA, and Kristy Ferreira of Somerset. He was the nephew to Madelynsol Valle, Cathy Collins Trisha Slattery, Maryann Borrows Wendy Brady, George St. Pierre, Tim Slattery Dave Collins and Scott Borrows and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to join the family at 8:00AM for Jacob’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 9:00AM in the BOULE FUNERAL HOME, 615 Broadway, Fall River, MA. Interment will be in St Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Jacob’s memory to the family for cost of Funeral arrangements.
Happy Birthday Jacob. I remember how much you liked holidays, birthdays and celebrations. I think of you often and picture you with your beautiful smile, sweet grin and I can still hear your laughter. You were a beautiful boy and a special young man. We all miss you. Continue to watch over us all. Love you!
