Jacob R Savage, age 29, of Gas City, IN, died unexpectantly Saturday, December 26, 2009, at Marion General Hospital in Marion, IN. He was born July 18, 1980 at Marion, Indiana He enjoyed fishing, hunting, archery, camping, motorcycles and wood engraving. He enjoyed his family and friends immensely, especially his nieces and nephew. He was a graduate of Madison-Grant High School Class of 1999. He attended and graduated from Ivy Tech Vocational School where he was the Valedictorian of his class. He received a degree in industrial metals. He is survived by his father Rick (Kathy) Savage, Fairmount, IN his mother Doris (Gibson) Savage, Gas City, IN Also his sister, Amanda (Steve) Purvis, Somerset, KY. Nephew: Clayton Purvis, and nieces: Layla and Maylee Purvis. Maternal Grandparents: Clara B. Gibson, Summitville, IN and the late Eyra F. Gibson. Paternal Grandparents: the Late Betty J Savage and the late James Murrell Savage. Survived by Uncles: Stanley Gibson, Fairmount, Edwin Savage, Gas City, and Michael Savage, Fairmount. Several cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday December 30, 2009 at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN with the Rev. David Morris officiating. I am so sorry about your loss. Jake was such a wonderful and caring guy. I have a lot of great memories of him and I will hold them close to my heart forever. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
