Jacob R Savage, age 29, of Gas City, IN, died unexpectantly Saturday, December 26, 2009, at Marion General Hospital in Marion, IN. He was born July 18, 1980 at Marion, Indiana He enjoyed fishing, hunting, archery, camping, motorcycles and wood engraving. He enjoyed his family and friends immensely, especially his nieces and nephew. He was a graduate of Madison-Grant High School Class of 1999. He attended and graduated from Ivy Tech Vocational School where he was the Valedictorian of his class. He received a degree in industrial metals. He is survived by his father Rick (Kathy) Savage, Fairmount, IN his mother Doris (Gibson) Savage, Gas City, IN Also his sister, Amanda (Steve) Purvis, Somerset, KY. Nephew: Clayton Purvis, and nieces: Layla and Maylee Purvis. Maternal Grandparents: Clara B. Gibson, Summitville, IN and the late Eyra F. Gibson. Paternal Grandparents: the Late Betty J Savage and the late James Murrell Savage. Survived by Uncles: Stanley Gibson, Fairmount, Edwin Savage, Gas City, and Michael Savage, Fairmount. Several cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday December 30, 2009 at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN with the Rev. David Morris officiating. Interment will be at Vinson Cemetery Summitville. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday December 29, 2009 from 4-8 PM. online condolences may be made at www.armeshuntfuneralhome.com

I am so sorry about your loss. Jake was such a wonderful and caring guy. I have a lot of great memories of him and I will hold them close to my heart forever. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

I am so sorry for your loss! I remember being in high school with Jake, always made me laugh! He was kind, compassionate and just so fun to be around! May God comfort you all in this loss of a wonderful man!

Growing up with Jake was always an adventure, he was always so full of life. I pray that you are embraced with love at this difficult time and know that you have a lot of people praying for and with you.

I was deeply saddened to hear about his passing. My deepest sympathies to his many family and friends. I have known Jake since we were just little kids. He was a great guy.
