To his daughter, son and nephews, I send my deepest condolences. Jake Stein was revered by my father, also a D.C. attorney, and came to our family's defense in a spectacular way when we needed it most. I am forever grateful for his efforts on our behalf, and to have known such a singularly civilized gentleman.

I knew Jake Stein mainly as the loving father to my friend and his daughter Julie. He was a gracious man and it's been wonderful to hear about his fabulous life and the impact he had on so many. May his legacy live on through the commitment of daughter and her works.
