Big Jake was a member of the 1968 Friends University Football team that had the best record in school history to that date, 7 wins and 3 defeats. He had a big handle bar mustache and a shaved head. A gentle giant. Many great memories. He will be missed.

Big Jake was a very good defensive tackle at Friends University. He had a large handlebar mustache during that time and looked very intimidating to opposing players. He was a great teammate and we will miss number "78". Rick Fitzgerald
