I never had the chance to express my deepest sympathies to you both. Jacob was (and always will be) a precious little boy who touched us all. I admired your strenth and courage from the first day I met you (even before Jacob was born)--you are an inspiration. I will continue to pray for you during this painful time of healing.

Jacob I only got to see you twice., But I so thought we would get to see a Christmas miracle. You were going to be my special little guy. Had you lived I knew you would touch so many hearts. But I guess God needed you more. Could you tell God to stay close to mommy and daddy they need God right now to comfort them. I love you lil man.

It is hard to picture the world without this gentle little soul. He could look right into your heart and I can't remember when I fell so completely in love with a little one (other than my own children!). To lay there with all that he was going through and still be able to smile in his sleep will be how I remember this brave little babe. I was honored to be able to take care of him, and to know you both.
