I will never forget Jake, He was a wonderful dog lover and kind and gentle soul.

I haven´t seen Jake since his mother passed but lived down the street from the Youngs when we were growing up. Always great people and great friends, I am sorry of his passing. We are losing a wonderful person.

My deepest condolences to Jacob´s family. I´m devastated to hear this news. Jake was a colleague and a friend. We worked together on Time Warner´s Australian version of People Magazine - Who Weekly. Jake was founding Editor and I worked on the business side as Adverting Director then Publisher. We supported each other during the challenging days of the "start up" and became good friends. I learned so much from Jake about the editorial side of the business but it was his kindness,...

We are so sorry - Jake and Marsha were two of our favorite people, and they were enormously kind to us. We enjoyed many wonderful times together over the years, and will cherish our treasured memories. When we returned to SF in 2017, Jake and Marsha were the first people we invited over for dinner. Sending love and prayers for peace and strength to their family members and friends who are grieving this enormous loss. Jasmine Madatian and Mike Regan, San Francisco

Our deepest condolences for Jacob´s friends and family. Jacob will be dearly missed on our morning walks. We only knew each other through our mutual love and attention to our dogs, and the nod and smile that comes with crossing paths daily in the beauty of Blithedale Canyon. He had the presence of a lovely man.

Fair winds and following seas on your journey my old Classmate. Randy Davis Baylor '74

He was both a mentor and friend, so kind, so clever, an excellent companion whether in the newsroom or sharing a meal with him, the wonderful Marsha and other friends and colleagues. We kept in touch over the years and last caught up in San Francisco in 2019. He was missing Marsha keenly but was also finding happiness in the support of close friends. Much...
