Jacqueline “Jackie” Slabaugh, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 7:30 am at her residence after a 9-month illness.  She was born on October 14, 1964 to Levi and Rosa (Schrock) Bontrager in Goshen, IN.  Jackie grew up in the Middlebury area and was a Clinton Christian School graduate.  On February 9, 1991, she married Dave Slabaugh at Nappanee Missionary Church, and the two then moved to Nappanee together.  Jackie was a member of Milford Chapel in Milford, IN. She loved puzzles, flowers, being in nature, interior decorating, and traveling to Florida on ‘girl’s’ trips and to Cancun, Mexico with her husband. She was a very caring person who liked to give gifts and host parties. She especially loved being a grandmother to her four grandchildren.

Jackie is survived by her husband Dave; children: Bridgett (Myles) Miller of Bremen, Erin (Luke) Hostetler of Etna Green, Brandon Slabaugh of Nappanee, and Katlyn Slabaugh of Nappanee; grandchildren: Liam, Claire, Gracelynn, and Gianna Hostetler; sisters Marilyn (Dave) Parnin of Brooksville FL, Betty (Paul) Miller, Glenda (Chris) Yoder, and Carol (Bob) Sutter, all from Middlebury.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Milford Chapel (321 E. Beer Rd. Milford, IN 46542)  from 1-4 and 5-8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8 at 10 am, at Nappanee Missionary Church (70417 SR-19 N, Nappanee, IN 46550), with visitation one hour prior.  Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
