O'Neill Funeral Home - Cumberland Obituary

Jacqueline C. Boutin, 71, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015. She was the beloved wife of Robert Boutin. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Alexandre and Blanche (LeClerc) Dionne.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Jeffrey Boutin and his wife Barbara, and Karen Cooper and her husband Brian; five grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas, and Jessica Boutin, and Casey and Connor Cooper, and six siblings, Doris Lauzon, Henry Dionne, Madeline Richard, Donald Dionne, Robert Dionne, and Carol Parady. She was the sister of the late Helen Greene, Beatrice Dionne, Cecile Couture, Raymond Dionne, and Lucette Gagne.

Jackie was a cherished wife, grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, Godmother and friend to so many. Ever present and dependable, she was always praying for and supporting her family and friends through their life's chapters.

When she wasn't nurturing her family and friends, Jackie was a servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an inspiration to all who knew her because she offered her time and talents with heartfelt generosity, grace, and humility. She was a devout catholic who enfolded all aspects of her life with her faith. With her husband, she prepared countless youths for receiving the sacrament of catholic confirmation and was also a Eucharistic Minister for St. Joan of Arc Parish in Cumberland, RI. She shared her love and guidance for over 25 years to individuals of special needs through the special religious education program (SPRED). Dedicated to prayer, Jackie actively participated in a Lectio Divina prayer group, traveling Mary devotion, a prayer group lead by Sister Irene Nerney and finally a Christian book club.

Before retiring, Jackie worked full-time as the human resource manager at Murdock Webbing in Central Falls, RI and later at Riverdale Mills in Northbridge, MA.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-8pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151 would be appreciated.

Jeff/Karen/Mr.Boutin,

It was a true pleasure knowing your mom/wife. She was always so friendly and welcoming. Jam, to this day, brings up her name every time I mention Jeff in a conversation. "Oh, his mom is so nice...She is always so kind to me and the girls" She sends her love to the family as do I and the girls. Mrs Boutin will be both missed and remembered greatly.
