Hard to believe she´s been gone for 10 Years. Her life continues to enrich mine evermore. Love all around.

On the anniversary of her passing, I unknowingly was thinking of Jackie and sharing her light, talent, and sense of humor with a friend when I looked up to find her death was on April 26th. Jackie not only was a giving actress on stage, but in the classroom as a teacher. An actor's actor, she believed in the magic of the craft to impact performer and audience alike. I miss her dearly. My memory of her encouraging spirit always brings a smile to my face and a fond remembrance of her unselfish...

A wonderful teacher and mentor, she not only instructed her classes at Circle-in-the-Square during the day, she would be appearing onstage for evenings and matinees. A beautiful talent, she inspired and encouraged all of us, her hopeful young students. Rest in peace, Jackie.

I knew and loved her in her Old Globe San Diego days.

Fortunately I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Brookes in 1990 on the Amtrak train between Los Angeles CA and Albuquerque, NM. She and another lady friend of mine and I had a wonderful time talking with one another. Miss Brookes was totally a down to earth person, definitely not pretentious! She will be missed a lot!

She was an amazing actress, a supportive teacher, and a sweet soul. Jackie, you'll be missed.
