Jackie was on my mind just yesterday. I know others miss her, too. Kind and sweet woman.

So much has happened in eight years. A few class reunions have taken place since I lost Jackie and another friend of ten years through public school. I have looked over my previous posts, and there is really nothing new to say. I just want Jackie's family, especially, to know that she is remembered.

The last time I saw Jackie was at a dinner during a visit with a cousin. It was a great evening with Jackie and a couple of others. Take advantage of opportunities to be with those from your past. You never know when they will no longer present themselves. I lost two childhood friends within the space of a few weeks, and learned of their passing on the same day. I believe that the picture of Jackie on display here was taken from a photo at a West Tech class reunion.

It is hard to believe that our dear friend has been away from us for so long. Miss her much.

Six years have passed since the loss of two childhood friends. I remember sitting on the steps at Landon Elementary during lunch hour while Jackie,Mara, and Carol sang songs they learned at Brownies. I still miss both of them.

It is hard to believe that it has been five years. In the space of a few weeks I lost two friends who were with me from grades three through twelve. After all those years, few days go by that I fail to think about them. Although I saw them only a few times after high school, they remained an important part of my life.

She is so missed.

I went to school with Jackie from grades 3 through 12. I remember her sitting on the school steps and singing songs with her friends after lunch. Jackie was such a quiet, gentle soul. I sat with her and a few other friends from those school years at our recent fiftieth reunion. Her loss takes something special away from me. I can only imagine the loss that closer friends and family must be feeling. I gather from postings I have read that Jackie was a person of faith. May God comfort...

I will miss Jackie and her smiling face. She was such a help and joy to work with at the Rocky River Senior Center. I know how much she treasured her nephew and nieces and their children. May God bless you, comfort you and your family as you remember Jackie. With love, Jody Hobson
