May 30, 1985-September 6, 2008. Our precious daughter Jacquie, our Jax, our "Tink," our Angel. These past 17 years since you were taken from us has held times of joy, laughter, sadness, and tears. We have wonderful memories that bring us peace as we remember the happy times we spent together and dreamed of what your future would hold. And we have times when we are angry and sad that you were denied a future and a chance to make your dreams come true. Now, life without you is so much harder without your dad by my side; my heart is broken. But every day, we hold onto what you taught us about living life to the fullest and being grateful for each day we have. Time has moved forward and our lives have changed, but the memories we have and the lessons you taught us are with us every day. The generosity, compassion, and caring that you showed throughout your life has been continued through your Foundation. It has brought encouragement, assistance, and comfort to so many patients and families as they travel the devasting road of a cancer diagnosis. We share your story, and dad's, with them so that hearing of your courage and strength will inspire them to always keep fighting, to never lose hope, and to BELIEVE that dreams can come true. We miss the sound of your laughter, the bright smile you always wore, and the wonderful hugs you gave. We know you are sharing those with dad now, and that you are both taking care of each other. We will keep working hard to make your dream of a world without cancer come true.
