Not sure what to say?

I took tap and jazz from Miss Jackie when I was a young girl in the early 70s at the Preston Forest dance studio. She taught me how to be a performer and was a wonderful role model. I cherish my memories of taking dance from her and performing at McFarlan Auditorium at SMU. What a wonderful legacy she has to have touched so many young people and influenced their lives as she did mine.

Many of my memories as a young girl involve the Bomberettes, the dance studio and marching practice. I, too, remember twirling fire and hoops and, in hindsight, probably developed a fair amount of my courage from some of those experiences. At the dance studio I not only learned about poise and discipline but also I still remember the first time I heard Hungarian Rhapsody (ballet, of course)-an introduction to classical music. Miss Jackie was an incredibly positive influence in my life and she...

1970something... Bomberette's

Miss Jackie was a very special lady. She was such a positive role model for so many young girls from Carrollton & Farmers Branch. I have great memories of being a part of the Bomberette's!
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.

Jackie was my mother's best friend and they were High School friends. I took tap, jazz, ballet and baton from Jackie for over 10 years. I still have my baton and ha! I can still twirl it too! I remember twirling fire. Jackie was a great teacher and I loved her so much. I remember Tana, dancing in her baby crib too.......sooooo darling

I was a shy five-year-old when I first started Bomberettes and honestly, Miss Jackie intimidated me. I soon learned that she was really a fantastic teacher who cared about the little girls she taught and who knew how to put on a great show. The lessons in teamwork, discipline and practice, practice, practice went beyond the halftimes at Showman Field. Miss Jackie, because of you I'm a stronger person and I cannot think of a better testament than that. My condolences to Tana and her family...

I loved taking her class when she came to Reggie Turnbo's studio, Dance Etc., in Fort Worth.

I see many of us students and Bomberettes have been thinking of Jackie lately. I loved her sense of humor and demand for excellence; she made us better because we wanted her to be proud of us. Tana, your Mom was an important part of our lives and hers was a life well lived. Praying for you and your family.

I myself have been thinking about her for some reason. I took twirling and dance from her for about 13 years and was in Bomberette's also She was a huge part of my life back then. Tana have been thinking about you too. My prayers are with you and your family
