Jacqueline “Jackie” Mary Hoffman (nee: Sweeney) of Innsbrook, Mo, passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2021. She enjoyed 88 beautiful years on this earth before passing on to her eternal home.
Jackie was born on May 19, 1933, in Milwaukee, WI to the late Fredrick and Esther Sweeney. She met her husband Joseph James Hoffman at Spring Hill College and they were joined in Marriage on October 10th, 1953. They enjoyed 67 years together full of love and laughter. She was the epitome of a doting mother, loving wife, and caring friend. Jackie was the shining light of her family and was endlessly proud of her 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren. She was spontaneous, fun, compassionate and faced every day with pure optimism. Jackie was also deeply devoted to her faith and attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton. Her wisdom, wit and values will be passed on and remembered for generations to come.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Esther Sweeney; one son, James F. Hoffman and one great grandson, Bryson Elijah Smith. Those who are grateful for having shared in Jackie’s life are her loving husband, Joseph; five children, Joseph J. Hoffman Jr. and wife Roseann, James F. Hoffman, Paul B. Hoffman and wife Tina, Michael W. Hoffman and wife Lisa, Mary Hoffman Smith; 14 grandchildren, Joseph J. Hoffman III and wife Shannon, Paul M. Hoffman and Wife Katie, Matthew Hoffman and wife Lauren, Jessica Hoffman, James Hoffman and Elizabeth Keeton, Justin Hoffman and wife Jennifer, Josh Hoffman and Kristina Johnson, Amanda Zachman and husband Ethan, Paul B. Hoffman and wife Morgan, Josh Spinaio, Rachael Cory and husband Anthony, Michael Hoffman, Jacqueline Williams and husband Charles, Elizabeth Smith; 29 great grandchildren; her twin brother Fred Sweeney; other relatives and many friends.
A visitation will be held for Jackie Hoffman on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 9:00 AM- 10:00 AM. A catholic mass will begin at 10:00 AM, also at the church, officiated by Father Tom Vordtriede. A graveside service will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Truesdale, Mo.
